OUT OF THE BRIEFCASE ~ Message from the Editor
Welcome back to College Matters! We’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to Lynne Wallace, our Executive Director, who initiated the publication in 1999. Lynne is handing her responsibilities as Editor over to Jan Lean, the CSC’s newly appointed Communications Coordinator. Having enjoyed a 24-year career with Durham College as a faculty member (General Arts & Science), Counsellor (LBS and Labour Adjustment) and Training Officer (Futures and OCAP), Jan looks forward to the opportunity to continue her commitment to the college system.
You’ll notice a few changes in this issue: new features, increased opportunity for information exchange and a chance to have your voice heard across the system. College Matters will now be published on the CSC web site four times a year: January, April, June and September.
Check out the latest news affecting you and your programs, share success stories, link to informative web sites and find answers to your questions. As an inclusive publication representing the CSC and Ontario colleges’ Academic Upgrading Programs, we want to hear from you! Contact information is on the last page, so “keep those cards and letters coming”.
